Umbrel Home Warranty Policy

1. Warranty Coverage

Umbrel, Inc. ("Umbrel") warrants the Umbrel Home device and included accessories against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original retail purchase ("Warranty Period"). This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

2. Exclusions and Limitations

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear;

  • Damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, or unauthorized modification;

  • Damage caused by tampering with the device, including opening the device or altering its OS/firmware;

  • Damage caused by unauthorized repair or service;

  • Damage caused by natural disasters or other external factors beyond the user's control (e.g., fire, flood, lightning, etc.);

  • Any components or parts not expressly covered by this warranty;

  • Any devices or accessories purchased from unauthorized resellers or distributors.

3. Warranty Service

If a valid claim is submitted under this warranty during the Warranty Period, Umbrel will, at its discretion:

  • Repair the defective device or accessory;

  • Replace the defective device or accessory with a new or refurbished device or accessory of equivalent functionality that meets the same quality standards as new devices or accessories; or

  • Provide credit for the customer to purchase a replacement for the defective accessory.

The warranty period for any replacement device or accessory will continue from the original purchase date.

4. Shipping and Customs

For warranty service, Umbrel will either provide a shipping label or reimburse the customer for the shipping cost, upon receiving a valid proof of shipping expenses. Customers are responsible for any customs duties or taxes associated with shipping the device or accessory for warranty service, for both inbound and outbound shipments.

5. How to Obtain Warranty Service

To obtain warranty service, please contact us via the live chat on umbrel.com or email us at support@umbrel.com, and we will provide you the instructions. You will be required to furnish proof of purchase details along with your Umbrel Home’s serial number when making a claim under this warranty.

6. Consumer Rights

This warranty is provided in addition to any rights and remedies provided under applicable local consumer laws. Nothing in this warranty policy shall limit or restrict your rights under such laws, and this warranty policy does not affect any statutory rights the consumer may have under those laws.
